Abdullah Al Muhaysini, a notorious Saudi cleric and a chief figure in Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham terrorist group, has made an official statement of resignation, citing infighting among the “mujaheedes” as the main reason for his decision.
He, however, urged the jihadists to continue their “struggle.”
Until now, Al Muhaysini was a chief religion judge in the terrorist group Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (ex-Al Nusra Front/Jaysh Al Fateh).
Considering himself as the “man of peace”, Al Muhaysini has often attempted to unite the terrorist groups, fighting against the Syrian Army.
Many, however, kept accusing him of fueling the infighting among these very same groups, in addition to the accusations of being behind the mass execution of hundreds of surviving terrorists, following their demise in eastern Aleppo against the Syrian Army back in December 2016.

He is also known as a former chief religious judge of the now defunct terrorist group Jaysh Al Fatah and has launched several religious programs through social networking sites, trying to reach the audience by showing “good intentions” and neutrality towards all terrorist groups, fighting against the Syrian Army.
During his stay in Syria, Al Muhaysini was injured at least twice. On June 8th, Al Muhaysini received an injury after his car came under fire in Maarat Al Numan in the Syrian province of Idleb amid clashes between Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham and the FSA-linked Faylaq Al Sham. 8 days later, a suicide bomber blew himself up right next to the car, belonging to Al Muhaysini, who at the time, wanted to visit Abu Dhar Al Ghifari mosque.
Since spring, Al Nusra/Al Qaeda-linked terrorist groups are clashing with FSA and the aligned groups. The clashes have made a rather positive impact on the progress of the Syrian Army.
