Syrian Army crosses the Euphrates river at Deir Ezzor to continue battle against ISIS - Like This Article

September 18, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

The ISIS Hunters, an elite unit of the Syrian Army, has announced on its social media that for the first time in years, pro-Syrian government forces have reached the northern side of the Euphrates river at Deir Ezzor.
Although the Syrian Army has continuously made raids on the opposite of the river to battle ISIS, it has not made a permanent foothold.

This spells trouble for the terrorist groups as both the Syrian Army and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces are conducting operations against ISIS on this side of the river.
