BREAKING! Prominent Syrian general martyred after his convoy struck an ISIS mine - Like This Article

                               The prominent Syrian Army major general, Issam Zahreddine, was martyred today in the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ez Zour after his convoy struck a land mine planted by ISIS terrorists in Saqr Island.

According to a military source, Major General Zahreddine was in the midst of conducting a special operation when his vehicle struck a land mine.

Major General Zahreddine was the commander of the elite 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard and scored several major victories against ISIS and other terrorists over the course of the Syrian war.

On September 5th, 2017, the Syrian President Bashar Al Assad congratulated Major General Zahreddine for his role in lifting the 3-year siege of Deir Ez Zour city imposed by ISIS terrorists.
