Around 500 applicants from Donbass areas, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, have been admitted to the higher educational institutions of Donetsk. This was announced today at the briefing by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic, Larisa Polyakova.
Polyakova noted that the most popular areas of study were the public policy sector, medicine, and teaching.
In total, more than 24 thousand young people have begun tertiary education in Donetsk this semester.
