On Sunday, Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front) terrorists launched a surprise attack against the Syrian Army positions near the town of Rabi’yah, located at the border of Lattakia province with Turkey.
Although Hay’at Tahrir Al Sham (Al Nusra Front)’s attack proved successful in the beginning as the terrorists were able to capture a few points in Turkmen Mountains, the dreams were soon foiled due to Syrian Army's reinforcements arriving, killing a whole bunch of the terrorists in the process.
The Army has since reversed all of the advances made by terrorists and retaliated by shelling the strategic town of Kabbani in the Kurdish Mountains.
According to the field reports, the Syrian Army has lost 7 of its soldiers during the assault.
It is noteworthy that the assault happened within de-escalation zone.
The General Command of the Syrian Army and the Armed Forces has thus already filed a complaint with the guarantor states of de-escalation zones agreement, namely Turkey, Iran and Russia.
