Syrian Forces retake oil fields from the Kurdish separatists in Syria's east - reports - Like This Article

Earlier this Morning, a Russian political figure arrived in the northern Syrian city of Qamishli and met with the Kurdish leaders, according to media affiliated with the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). 

It was not revealed what was discussed, however according to a Syrian reporter in the eastern Syrian city of Dier Ez Zour, Syrian Army, along with the Russian military, entered the Koniko oil factories which were occupied by the US-backed and Kurdish-led SDF after capturing the site from ISIS few weeks back.

The site is located on the Eastern Bank of the Euphrates River.

The Russian Forces entered Koniko as part of a reconnaissance mission.

The same reports have claimed that Syrian Army also liberated the Al Ezra oilfields in Deir Ez Zour countryside from the SDF.

The Russian Forces participating are those part of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Hmemim in Latakia province.
