LATAKIA, Syria - Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) announced that one of its jihadists conducted a suicide bombing on Friday on a Russian military convoy in government-held Latakia province.
The attack happened on the main road in the Bustan Basha area on the northern outskirts of Russian Khmeimim Air Base in Syria's coastal region.
HTS media released photos to support their claim. However, as of the publication time, this has not been confirmed. The photos themselves do not positively affirm the claim.
