Syrian Air Force carried out several raids against ISIS gatherings and fortifications in the western countryside of the now liberated last remaining ISIS stronghold of Abu Kamal on Sunday, and during which scores of the terrorists, their leaders including, were killed.
According to military sources in Deir Ez Zour, Syrian Air Force carried out series of raids, targeting gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in the western countryside of the town of Abu Kamal. A large number of terrorists were killed, in addition to destruction of their mechanisms, weapons and equipment.
The source pointed out that among the dead terrorists there were several notable leaders, including Hani Al Thuluji, Abu Munther Al Shishani and Abu Mohammed Al Safi.
The army units continue their progress of pursuing the remains of ISIS terrorists in the area of Huweijet Kateh with great precaution in order to ensure the safety of civilians recently abducted by the terrorist group as they are frequently being used as human shields.
