Jets of the US-led anti-ISIS international coalition have once again targeted residential areas in Syria, this time in the villages in the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, causing several civilian casualties.
According to the Syrian news station Al Ekhbariya, the coalition raids targeted the villages of Al Tayyana and Al Jalaa in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, causing several civilian casualties, in addition to material damage.
Earlier this month, the coalition forces committed two massacres against Syrian civilians in the town of Mayadeen, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province and another one in the city of Raqqah on August 8th, when scores of civilians, women and children including, were killed.
Another massacre was also committed when residential areas were targeted in the town of Mayadeen back on July 24th. Dozens of people were killed.
The massacres of the coalition forces have become so frequent recently that they triggered the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address its letters to Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the President of the UN Security Council, calling on the international community to do everything in its power to prevent further massacres in the cities of Deir Ez Zour and Raqqah and their surrounding areas, noting the use of the internationally banned bombs containing white phosphorus by the coalition forces, a thing that stands as a grave violation of international humanitarian law and international law.
