Provocations in Venezuela are not stopping.
On Thursday night, unknown gunmen attacked a maternity hospital in Venezuela with at least 54 children inside.
According to the reports by Agence France-Presse, the Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ordered the evacuation of the hospital. The hospital’s exact location was not revealed and there is no information on the casualties for the time being.
The foreign minister of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, has since accused Henrique Capriles, the Venezuelan opposition leader, of being involved in the attack that occurred a day after violent confrontations between Venezuelan security forces and opposition extremists.
“I denounce before the international community that armed gangs hired by the opposition attacked a maternity hospital with 54 children,” Rodriguez wrote on her Twitter account.
Since Wednesday, the US-backed opposition is staging mass protests in order to oust the government, led by the president Nicolas Maduro.
