Serbia is waiting on Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu's visit in the near future, according to Serbia’s Acting Assistant Minister for Material Resources, Nenad Miloradovic.
"We expect – said Miloradovic without specifying dates – Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu’s visit in the near future."
Miloradovic spoke less than a week after Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin took part in the inauguration ceremony of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade. Then Prime Minister Vucic had announced in December that Serbia was planning to receive six Mikoyan MiG-29 fighters and 30 T-72S tanks and 30 BRDM-2 reconnaissance armored vehicles as part of a Russian military aid package.
