The first foreigner to enter Vladivostok on an electronic visa was a citizen of Saudi Arabia. The first such entry was made through the airport Knevichi (Vladivostok )," said Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Pavel Volkov.
He recalled that at the moment there are two checkpoints to the Far East. In addition to the airport, you can go through a sea port checkpoint in Vladivostok.
"166 people have already received electronic visas in only two days. Every day we see more and more people wishing to obtain visas to the Russian Far East, the demand is especially high for residents of the People's Republic of China and Japan," Volkov said.
Over the past two days, citizens of 10 countries applied for an electronic visa; China (78 people), Japan (61 people), Morocco (14), Algeria (3), India (3), Iran (2), Saudi Arabia (2), Kuwait (1 person ), Singapore (1 person) and Tunisia (1 person).
Foreigners can apply for a single business, tourist or humanitarian visa. To do this, you need to apply on a special website by filling out the form and attaching a photo.
"Obtaining an electronic visa can be done quickly enough, according to the law, no later than 4 days a foreigner receives either a visa or a justified refusal, in the latter case he will need to get a regular visa," the deputy minister said.
The electronic visa is only (so far) available for entry to the country in the Far East.
