Jets of the US-led international “anti-ISIS” coalition have carried out a new massacre in the northern Syrian city of Raqqah on Saturday, during which 43 civilians lost their lives, while many more others were left wounded.

Material damage was also caused.

For the past few days, the coalition forces have been intensively bombing Raqqah.

On Friday, coalition jets killed  a woman and her seven children.

Two days ago, the coalition jets carried out 44 raids in Raqqah alone, mostly targeting residential buildings in Al Imam Al Nouri Mosque and Al Thukneh neighborhoods in Al Badou quarter of Raqqah, killing dozens of people.

On the 1st of August, the coalition jets committed massacres in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province, killing 60 people and injuring many more others.

Because of the sharp increase of violent activities against civilians in Raqqah and Deir Ez Zour by the coalition forces, the Syrian branch of Red Crescent issued an appeal to stop the violence and urged the relevant international bodies to take action.

The organization also appealed to all parties involved to avoid hitting civilian targets and obey the international humanitarian law, especially as regards the principle of proportionate use of force.

Dina Al Assad, deputy director of the Syrian Red Crescent branch in Raqqah, appealed to international organizations and the United Nations in order to intervene and prevent further targeting of civilian objects by the international coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Al Assad, who lives in the city of Raqqah, said that the coalition aircrafts bombed the building of the main national hospital in the city of Raqqah on Thursday, by using the internationally banned bombs containing white phosphorous.

The deputy director of the Syrian Red Crescent branch in Raqqah said the national hospital, which was bombed and then destroyed, used to provide necessary medical aid for more than 100,000 people in the city.
