The press service of the SBU reports a "successful operation" to prevent a rally organized by Russian special services.
"Another fake action directed in Russia, aimed at undermining the situation in the country, has been documented and forestalled by the Security Service of Ukraine" the ministry said.
According to the SBU, on September 6, a meeting of mothers of ATO participants was to be held in Lvov, where they planned to voice criticism of state policy, in particular, on the conflict in the Donbass, and to call for the end of the war by any means.
According to the SBU, this action was organized by Moscow in order to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.
According to law enforcers, the direct organizer of the event was a resident of the Volyn region and one of the leading functionaries of the "Russian Cultural Center," which hired almost 100 pensioners and students as "extras" who were supposed to play the roles of relatives of ATO participants.
In the SBU they say that, in fact, among the participants of the failed action there were no relatives of ATO militants.
We note this is not the first time the SBU has voiced accusations against Ukrainian citizens who disagree with the policy of Kiev. It even reaches physical impact. So, in the spring of 2017, SBU officers beat up a Lugansk pensioner who was heading for territory controlled by Ukraine for his pension. "The fault" of the pensioner was the refusal to collaborate with the special services "for the benefit of Ukraine." During the same period, Security Service officers beat the radicals of the "blockade headquarters" in connection with the fact that at that time the participants in the blockade did not agree with Kiev. Further, this summer, the former member of the ATU, Bronislav Sukhoi, who is the leader of the "Revolutionary Right Forces," announced beatings after a protest at the Presidential Administration building.
