With the ISIS-imposed siege on the eastern Syrian city of Deir Ezzor lifted by the Syrian Army days ago, pro-government forces will continue pursuing terrorists across the Euphrates River.
Leith Fadel, CEO of Al-Masdar News, revealed on his social media account that in speaking with a source in Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Army will cross the river from Deir Ezzor, in which the city lays on the south bank of the Euphrates River, to continue fighting the terrorist outfit.
This strategy is to continue placing immense pressure on the terrorist organization.
This pursuit comes despite ISIS holding huge swathes of territory on the south bank of the river, including much of Deir Ezzor still.
