BREAKING: Turkey will only deal with Baghdad for matters with oil and border, not Kurdistan - Like This Article

September 28, 2017 - Fort Russ News - Paul Antonopoulos

It has been confirmed that Turkey will only deal with the central authorities in Iraq in regards to oil and borders, and not the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The office of Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi confirmed that Turkey will only engage with Baghdad and not the KRG in matters of oil despite the only pipeline leaving Kurdish areas to reach international markets being in Turkey's Ceyhan.

Yesterday Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates confirmed that they would not be allowing airplanes departing from their countries to end their flights in the KRG.

This has effectively left the region completely isolated after it conducted an unconstitutional referendum on Monday in regards to independence.
