Aleppo civilians, primarily market traders, have begun the process of rehabilitating and cleaning a mosque.
The Khan al-Khan mosque was inactive for a number of years because of the intense battle for Aleppo between pro-Syrian government forces and terrorist groups.
The battle ended on 22 December 2016 and saw all terrorist groups expelled from Syria's largest city.
Since then the city has been undergoing a rehabilitation process to restore the city to its former glory as Syria's industrial and financial center.
