Units of the Syrian Army have made new advancements in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
On Friday, Syrian forces took control of an area of total length of 12 km and depth of 4 km north of the village of Manoukh, located on the outskirts of Jebb Al Jarrah area, after inflicting heavy losses in terms of personnel and equipment upon ISIS terrorists.
In the eastern province of Deir Ez Zour, Syrian and Russian Air Force units carried out intense strikes against gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists, destroying several of their positions, ammunition depots, and vehicles in the valley of Al Thardeh, the surrounding areas of Al Panorama, the graveyards, the villages of Al Baghiliyeh and Ayyash, and in the neighbourhood of Al Rashidiyeh neighborhood in Deir Ez Zour city.
In addition, army units, backed by helicopters, continue to proceed deeper into the desert, and have already reached the administrative border of Homs and Deir Ez Zour provinces.
Meanwhile, in the province of Hama, army units established control over the villages of Salba, Rasm AlMazarea, Zanouba, Tweina, Hesso, Mkeimen Shamali, Mkeimen Janoubi, Tibet Dkeij and Jeb Al Abyad, located in the eastern countryside of Salamiyeh district in Hama province.
Dozens of the terrorists were killed and several of their vehicleas equipped with machine-guns, were destroyed during operations.
Engineering units of the Syrian Army have been dispatched to the scene and are already dismantling landmines and IEDs left over by ISIS terrorists.
It is estimated that the Army will soon take control over Uqayribat, the major ISIS stronghold in the province.
