Statements, that were recently announced by Russian presidential hopeful Ksenia Sobchak, in relation to the territorial belonging of Crimea to Ukraine - the Kremlin considers "incorrect in nature and in form," as stated by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

According to the press secretary, from the point of view of international law de jure Crimea is an integral part of the Russian Federation.

"Discussion of the territorial and sovereign belonging of the Crimea is not subject to debate in any way and with no one," Peskov commented .

As for the question of holding Sobchak to criminal responsibility for appeals to violate Russia's territorial integrity, Peskov believes that this issue does not fall within the advice of the presidential administration or the Kremlin.

Also, Peskov refused to comment on the question whether Sobchak's statements would prevent her from being registered as a candidate, noting that it is the Central Election Commission that deals exclusively with such quetions.

As President, Sobchak has vowed to return the Crimea to the Ukraine.
