Russia has delivered to the Philippines new weapons, ammunition and army trucks. The ceremony was attended by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
The two governments signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation. The event was held in the port of Manila aboard the large anti-submarine ship "Admiral Panteleev".
Two other vessels of the Pacific Fleet arrived in the Philippines a few days ago as part of a campaign for the countries of Southeast Asia. During this time the crew will make nine unofficial visits and business visits to the ports of foreign countries. The main goal of the campaign is to strengthen naval cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
