Units of the Syrian Army continue their progress against ISIS terrorists in southeastern countryside of Deir Ez Zour province.
According to the field reports, the Syrian Army is now only about 5 km away from the town of Mayadeen, the main provincial ISIS stronghold.
Over the past few hours, army units carried out series of intense strikes, targeting ISIS gatherings and hideouts located along the road linking the city of Deir Ez Zour with the town of Mayadeen, inflicting heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in terms of personnel and equipment.
In addition, the Army’s artillery units heavily pounded ISIS positions in the town of Mayadeen, destroying a firearm warehouse, as well as a communications center and several machine gun-equipped vehicles.
The army units also killed a whole bunch of terrorists who tried to infiltrate Al Shoula-Hreibsha axis.
