Activists from the southern countryside of the northwestern Syrian province of Idleb posted a footage of Al Nusra Front terrorists destroying an ancient archaeological monument in the village of Deir Sennel in Jabal Al Zawia highland region, located south of Idleb.
According to the activists, the ancient structure collapsed due to intense gunfire.
Deir Sinbel is one of the oldest villages in the province of Idleb.
It dates back to the Roman times, and hosts about 115 homes and five churches, the most famous one of which is the northern basilica, dating back to the 6th century AD.
The incident occurred right in time when Al Nusra's founding father and commander-in-chief, Mohammad Al Joulani, fell into a coma after being critically injured in a Russian airstrike the day earlier.
