Vandelised statue of the Motherland, Volgograd
All the politically active, and not as much, users of social media, will recall the recent staged story of Navalny getting splashed with green paint by a group of pro-government activists. This was followed by a rather off-looking ‘flashmob’ of Navalny supporters.
This would not be so newsworthy if not for fact that upon the recent opening of Navalny’s campaign office in hero-city Volgograd (former Stalingrad), the famous “Motherland” statue was splashed with green paint by a pro-Navalny group – an act offensive to the senses of any Volgograd resident.
Mr. Navalny and Mr. Kasyanov - traitors of Russia and PARNAS party members, receiving a significant portion of their income from the US State Department.
Mr. Navalny himself and his staff have maintained their silence, as if not noticing the work of their supporters in Volgograd, despite being vocal about the smallest incidences against their perceived freedom of speech and existence.
This photo, which appeared in the official Navalny group for the region, seems to demonstrate that while Mr. Navalny is running for President, he has no issue with ‘spitting in the face’ of Volgograd voters.
Navalny seemingly turns a blind eye on the city’s symbolism, which the average voter holds dear to their hearts. The millions of Stalingrad lives; the blood spilt in the iconic WWII battle, which were simply wiped off the face of the earth, yet never released Stalingrad to the enemy – the memorial stands atop a mass grave of 60,000 soldiers of the legendary Chuikovsky 62nd army.
None of this seems symbolic for the people who propagate “widespread corruption”.
