A Russian Su-24 military jet has reportedly crashed in Syria.

All crew members are said to have died. 

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a technical fault may have caused the crash.

“On October 10, when accelerating ahead of takeoff from the Hmeyimim airfield in Syria, the Su-24 aircraft veered off the runway and crashed. The crew of the plane did not eject in time and died. A technical malfunction could have caused the crash, the ministry said.”, the statement said.

No facilities were destroyed on the ground.
